I just can't understand the price F-types in general, and this SVR one in particular. I'd have an AMG GT all day long for that money. Or a cooking 911. Both seem far more special than the Jag. Still, people are buying them, so I'm clearly in a minority.
New F-Type prices are definitely OTT as evidenced by early depreciation. But have you driven a V8 version before comparing it to a 911 or Mercedes? 8bit said:
It used to be the case that new Jaguars were heavily discounted by the dealers (or incentivised from Jaguar themselves), so the sticker prices were always a lot more than what people actually ended up paying. Not sure if that's still the case?
I bought a new V8S F-Type a couple of years ago for £20k less than retail. It still lost circa. £1k month before I sold it just over a year later with 4K miles or more than £30k less than the new retail price! That's why I bought second hand this time and picked up a gem for far less that the equivalent 911 or Mercedes. Hopefully SVR prices will head in the same direction. Here's another one. £10k more and the spec appears similar to the one above which is still for sale. Is grey THE colour for SVR's?

I like this red one - a new colour?

The earlier grey one has had it's asking price dropped by £5k to £100k.
