Hi. I've got a 2009 XF 3.0 diesel which is currently putting out 310bhp so is reasonably quick. I quite fancy trying it on a track.
I know I'll need to sort the brakes to help them deal with the heat.
Is there anything else I'll need to do or is the whole thing a bad idea?

I quite liked the idea of using mine on a track. If it half kills a set of tyres I'm not worried.
It won't kill suspension bushes.

D7a is a platform shared by F Pace, new XF and XE.
D8 is currently only Discovery Sport.

I was thinking of taking it to Thruxton or Castle Coombe since they're both local.
How do they organise groups? Is it fast group and slow group?

It's not the same chassis but very, very similar. Some of the suspension arms have different, bushes are different compounds, subframes are slightly different.
The XE also doesn't have the option of the best engine, the V6 diesel.

Upper control arm bushes will certainly last longer with stiffer suspension. As will any bush being twisted as the suspension compresses.

Cough cough..Internal Memo..."Please do not discuss internal information to which you are privvy on a public forum"
That's nothing that hasn't been in the press many times.
I certainly wouldn't discuss anything else I know.

How do I delete this thread then?
I don't think I've said anything I shouldn't have.
