I know, in general, we don't tend to mod or update our cars in here. I for one had no intention of making any changes to mine but after discovering two very small cracks that needed repairing in the alloys, I decided to have them resprayed a new colour.

Originally they were gloss black but as the roof is a reddish/brown colour, I have taken a risk and gone for dark anthracite. As soon as they are done I will upload. I think they should be in keeping and they should compliment the roof nicely...

I think it will work as it should flow from the roof and as you say, will be close to black anyway.

Got the car back, they look great, almost look the same from a distance so a subtle change which is what we were after. Not sure about a tan interior but you never know!

The cracks were really small, both on the near side so possibly just shock damage thanks to small stiff sidewalls. Discovered during a tyre change (first since I had the car) so possibly been there all the time. This is common on large alloys with low profile tyres. Will try to find some pics to upload if I still have them.

Will post pics of the new wheel colour tomorrow so long as the car thaws out.

Got the car back and finally had a chance to look (late night London commute = not able to check).

New wheels look stunning, no point taking a pic as they don't look much different to before but the dark anthracite really works.

Thanks for the tip, however, I protect my alloys with FK1000p, same price but is a hard sealant. Protects the wheels for months, dust washes off. Worth having a look!
