Used jaguar warranty

Has anyone on here managed to get a good warranty on a pre owned jaguar, I was thinking of spending about 40k on XKR, but do not want all the mechanical and electrical cost problems that go with it ,is there a warranty out there that actually works. Your experiences would be welcome good or bad.

The reason I ask is I had a 1998 XKR that had a number of latent defects ,the car was great the problems not so, sorry we do not cover that sir. Four generations of timing chain tensioner later. Are the final run of XKRS free from faults ?
