Mark 3 Chassis number 001. Had 7.0 engine fitted when the second owner bought it off Lister. It was their press/demo car...originally silver grey.

Done 7500 miles and I'm the 3rd owner. Bought it from the second. Known the car since he bought it in 89/90. No rot...original wheels.

Just being fettled at the moment...will post pics when car returns.

Where are these cars residing? Where are the owners hanging out?

It was useed in all the mags around 86/87 but later in the 80's it probably wasn't. If you're looking at the platinum grey car with red leather then yes it's the car.

Would like to see the test.....which one was it?

Yes indeed...looks stunning...seen that thread before.

Unfortunately mine isn't black and is obviously and early car. Wonder how the values will go on these things in years to come?

ive been offered a 7 litre mark 3 with rear spoiler cabriolet in black with magnolia interior build number 023LJ for 10 grand ,rebuilt gearbox 335 on rear no rust needs slight tlc is it worth that price or more.
10k seems cheap.......but the big question is condition and miles. There are a few complete rot boxes out there.

I think as has already been muted....these are probably due for a rise in values as the interest in 80's cars builds towards the end of this decade.

They were a stonking car and not many decent cars were created in the 80's.

Have to say it drives beautifully. Very composed, great sporty ride without being harsh and probably the biggest improvement is the steering feel and ratio.

Didn't realise how much re-engineering went into these things

No but I'll try and find it.

Edited to say I've seen it now.

Do you know the car?

Looks nice in bright red.

I found this it might be of interest.
My car is the first car on that list.

Engine pulls very strong when its running. Hesitates at around 2500rpm but its more than driveable.

Handles really very well and steering is well weighted and sorted.

I was amazed at how well my car drives...far better than the Aston V8 X Pack of the same era.
