Polo 1.4TDi Needs More Power.
Discussion
I have a 2008 Polo 1.4Tdi (69bhp) which has covered 66k miles.
I've not had it long, but it could do with a bit more power.
Has anyone had any experience of this type of thing?

Are cheap chips worth the money? I had a £15 one on a previous Fabia VRS but it kept setting the engine warning light off....
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

£15 for a chip
Probably best looking at Bluefin, Revo, Autops for a proper remap.
Yes, there were a few floating round on ebay a few years ago, it was a single plug thing. I bought the car not knowing it was fitted, it was when the light kept coming on that I took it to a dealer who found it! Probably best looking at Bluefin, Revo, Autops for a proper remap.

Get an uprated turbo (will need special work to get on to a 3 branch manifold) - fit uprated nozzles on your PD injectors, remove EGR, decat the exhaust, replace backbox with straight pipe, fit a front mount intercooler, sport panel filter, wider air intake pipe (PD160 might fit), Good remap and probably looking at 150bhp.
All sounds too expensive!I was hoping to hit the 100bhp which a chip/remap shouldn't be too far away from... Do they really give additional MPG as many claim?
