How long did it take you to get used to the fbw throttle?

So my other halves had the tts for a week now and although its a lovely bit of kit, i cant really say i love the way the throttle stays on slightly after you let off the power for gear change. It prolongs any 'fast shifts' unless you're willing to allow for the slight over rev on change. My method so far is: 1) clutch in 2) change gear 3) let clutch out 4) slight pause 5) get back on gas. Without 4 theres either a jar or clunk and thats exactly what id call mechanical sympathy..

Anything tips / mods?
