High mileage golf gti, am I mad?

Thinking of going to see a 140k mileage 2005 mk5 gti next week, it has a fvwsh and comes with a long warranty but is there anything I should look out for on these? And how much of a bad is it for me to buy it? thanks

Thanks for all the replies everyone, i wrote this thread after a few beers and forgot I'd done it! But some very interesting responses. Was expecting everyone to say don't do it! I'm guessing the best thing is to buy on condition and service history
