Hi guys.

Just recently got a very low milage 09 plate and am thinking of getting it remapped.

I have been told by Track and Road in Essex that I could easily expect gains of around 50bhp and up to 70nm torque.

Does anyone have experience with this company and remapping of this model?

I don't know much about cars and all this tuning etc as never done it but Im very impressed with this car in stock form and would love a bit more smile

Thanks in advance

Not at all and this is all good info for me.

So, do I need to consider the brakes etc? Anything else?

Someone mentioned I may have to have a diverter valve or something????

OK thanks.

I won't be doing the brakes.

A friend also mentioned the possibility of a turbo intake pipe being needed and a new air filter??

Lol..........OK mate, plead the ignorance game.

It's up to you as a vehicle owner to ensure any modifications are declared.
I see where he is coming from. Say this car has already been remapped and the seller, a dealer in this case was not aware or failed to tell me??

How or where would I stand there but actually it does not matter lol as it not relevant.

I know its done as Im doing it smile

Thanks for all the advice guys. Booked in the middle of the month

The only time I've driven an A5 2.0T was a week having a pool car, I handed the keys back told them there was something wrong with it, they told me the whole fleet was the same. The torque steer was absolutely terrible, why would you want to increase the power or the torque on one to make it even worse?
Yes, in 1st and 2nd it spins everywhere and pulls you all over the show but I want more when in 4th and above. Just to be able to put my foot down when cruising in these gears without having to drop a gear to pull away from the boy racer in his ST behind me would be even MORE satisfying that it is now lol

But I did say about the torque steer and wheel spinning when I first got it as 3 off my friends have super cars and they laughed and said "use your right foot better" so I do and problem solved wink

Had I more knowledge when purchasing the car I would have got the Quattro. The traction control in 1st and 2nd is pants.

All great advice, thanks.

What exhaust system or back box would you guys recommend?

Want something to give it a more sportier sound. Not crazy but a little more smile

Thanks to all for the advice.

Got it done by AMD Tuning and the gains are quite impressive to say the least.

Went from 197bhp to 269.8bhp and the torque was 254.7 and now is 305.6lb-ft

But while I was in their they sold me on a Miltek system. Gonna get that booked in and done as I will get 50% of my remapping cost today as credit when I do the Miltek system.

Happy camper, you bet smile

Ive not no.

The front spins up very easily now but with a bit of control it pulls away very nicely but what could I fit to make it better. Im very new in this scene.

Also, it looks like Im going to fit a Milltek sport cat back quad outlet exhaust. They look nice and sound nice too from what I can find online.

Which in reality will be ~ 250hp. AMD are well known to give out optimistic dyno sheets.

AMD & Milltek are in bed with each other, so I'm not surprised they pushed an exhaust system onto you. Pretty cr@p quality, especially the welding.
OK on the power but interesting on your opinion on the Milltek system.

Im by no means an expect on anything car modding etc but welding, yes so can I ask what you base that on? Also, they happened to be working on a car with a Milltek on which they invited me to look at and the quality looked good.
Regarding general opinions also for which I been looking since I have seen them range from "very good" to "one of the best out there" so would love to hear your experience which I suspect was bad with both Milltek and AMD??
