2009 Passat Estate - RCD510 Bluetooth Not Working.
Discussion
I have recently purchased a 2009 Passat with an RCD 510 Radio. The car does have a bluetooth module installed and I have worked out that the unit is a 9w2.
However, no matter what I do I cannot get my iPhone (or another older samsung phone I have tested) to see the car's bluetooth. It seems to just not be there...
The 'Phone' button on the radio just functions as a mute button at the moment. Is this because there are no phones paired, or does this point to a more serious problem?
Short of assuming the BT module is just completely faulty and swapping it out, is there anything else I can do to diagnose the problem?

Thanks for the information.
I have a 9w2 module which is meant to support A2DP for music streaming. I would have expected this to work at least. What Bluetooth standard am I missing?
What module do I need to replace it with in Europe? I have seen a lot online about the 9w7 module being the right choice, but this seems to be a North American module. Is there a difference?
