After the other half decided to get pregnant and ruin my car plans for the future I thought i'd use the opportunity to get myself a 4WD and not feel completely pointless doing so... I went to the showroom and they had a Q7 Sport Edition, nice looking etc but pretty damned expensive. I know theres a new model coming out in 6 months or so, so I figured might be a good time to get a PCP on the current one. I know I need to sit down and talk to the dealer but I chatted to a guy recently who'd bought a 54k one for 45 using some finance incentive and dealer discount. So actually didn't seem too bad.

It's a 245tdi 3.0 engine so I suppose my q is....

Does anyone know if it can average 35mpg or so (doubt it, it's huge)
Anyone bought one recently and got a good price?

Thanks in advance....

All good points, i liked the look of the Q7 though and never had a pointlessly huge car. I'll go look at another one and see how that goes...

Yeah, late 8 speed will nudge into the low/mid 30s on a smooth run but don't expect to average 35 with mixed driving.

For the size and weight I'd say 35 is pretty good for a motorway stint.

Expect low 20s urban.
Low 20's? Thats pretty dire actually, thanks for the info....

Hmmm

Don't think I want one anymore. I do fancy an S3/RS3, but my current car is an M135i so I wonder whether they're both a bit similar.

Thanks for the replies everyone...
