HI where on a mk4 golf is the inter cooler pipes

I have a low turbo whistle when you reach 2000 or 3000 revs also its noticed at low speed to .the car drives OK with no power loss or black smoke out the back ,some say its normal for a turbo to whistle the car as only done 78000 genuine miles ,where can i find the pipes that may be leaking I have read a few stories of some pipes that can perish that can cause this could you post some pictures or links so it will give me an idea where to check.its a 2003 1.9tdi golf mk4 estate .
