Speckled up a new RS6 Looked in what car for a target price for the base car with no option but there is none listed. Called them and they dont have a figure. Doh,
Base car is £77,760 with options £84140
Curious if any others can give an indication of the deal they managed to do with a dealer pls.
Thx

Try orangewheels and carwow - OW were better than what i could get from Carwow but their dealier was near london (im in scotland) so went to best carwow dealer for location and asked them to price match.
this included the £7k audi finance
PM me if you want dealer details.
thank you. Yes just been on wowcar and got 15% off with the finance. So a great deal. I understand that you can pay off the finance early if want to ?Try orangewheels and carwow - OW were better than what i could get from Carwow but their dealier was near london (im in scotland) so went to best carwow dealer for location and asked them to price match.

I've had a bit of a route around. You will need to ask the dealer specifically.
1. By law you would normally be allowed to 'Withdraw' (cooling off) within 14 days and retain all incentives. Great news for you BUT
1a. The law only allows you to withdraw if the credit contract is no greater than £60,260. I suspect the RS6 will fall outside this limit
2. OK, normally not a problem because most finance companies calculate interest on a 'Monthly Reducing balance' basis which means you will not be charged any interest beyond the early settlement date. VW finance calculate in this way. Audi finance DOES NOT. I'm quite sure Audi use a flat rate which means, say 5% on £70k credit. Yu have 3500 interest in year one. This is why you see large differences between interest rates quoted and APR or AER
You will have to ask specific questions from the dealer
thank you - I too have a dig around on their website and agree the 14 day cooling off would be the safest option. I think it will also be that the finance will be less then the £60260 or certainly I will make sure it is !1. appreciate your help as its good to bounce ideas and to make sure your nor reading things weirdly !!
Drive a RS6 demo car this week. Very nice it was too. It had the Dynamic steering option.
Im having trouble finding a demo car near me without to test. Too be honest I need to keep the costs down.
Anyone have views on the Dynamic steering. Im going for standard suspension as I need to tow.
thx

Here is mine in Sepang, stunning colour, pics below show the different shades in different lights...
Sepang with black pack, privacy, mirrors and 21 high gloss black. I think it would go very well on the Misano red car too.

As another poster has said - I also liked yours so much that will go in tomorrow to sign up for the same and as for like his Leo-RS
just back from the dealer. Deposit down with delivery in March. So very excited.
Sat in the showroom rs6 and id forgotten since my test drive just how nice it is. Went for What RS-Leo had. Sepang blue, black pack, parking pack, sunroof, rear airbags, towbar, black 21 wheels. Was a toss up over Red or blue. nothing in it apart from wife liked the blue better. Roll on March

thanks gents and well done DRgav as well. Im getting mine via Brighton be funny if yours was the same?
got 15.1% off via carwow -£13096 ish off. which put me in contact with 2 dealers offering the same rate one was 102 miles and the other was 40 miles away. Test drove a RS6 at my local dealer started negotiations with him and told him about the best pcp finance quote I had and asked if he could match which he could - so job done with my local dealer.
I will put in £25k deposit with dealer putting in £7k and also reducing the car value down by £6k something to give the 15.1% discount of £13093 discount. Have a final payment of £36622 in 30 months (my BMW will sell close to this) and £574 pm for 30 months.
Very happy with the deal - and cant wait for the car now. Didnt try a car broker so there may be a better deal im not sure.

Sounds like a good deal. Brighton seem to be upping their game. I'm local, but bought my last A6 from Coulsdon and my current S4 from Salisbury as Brighton couldn't get close. It's a shame as they seem like a good bunch - I'm really hoping for some interesting end of line deals on the RS6 in 18-24 months or so when I will be in the position to upgrade again. Did an RS day through Brighton Audi in the summer and loved the RS6. I drove one on 20's with the standard suspension and no sports exhaust. The noise was the only disappointment for me, but then I'd just stepped out of an rs3 with the sports exhaust which just sounds fantastic. got 15.1% off via carwow -£13096 ish off. which put me in contact with 2 dealers offering the same rate one was 102 miles and the other was 40 miles away. any thoughts on the standard suspension?
Hi superlightrI'm going for the standard air suspension, Leo-RS said it was good and that has been mirrored by every review I've read online (and I'm pretty sure I've read them all!).
Good your local dealer matched the quote. My local dealer up here would only go to 8% (including finance) - managed to get 15.2% through Orangewheels and will enjoy the 429 mile journey home in the new toy - I expect we'll have bonded by the time I get back
If picking up from Brighton let me know if your anywhere near for your pickup as we can say a quick hello with the 2 cars. ! lol

God there's some money out there!!
People ordering £84k cars like sweets in a candy shop.......shows the huge gulf in people's earnings in the Uk
You can see why these cars gets vandalised if left out in a London Street as all it does is breed resentment amongst the poor.
Nice cars though!
I don't think anyone is flippant about buying a car of that value on Pistonheads. Certainly not a sweet shop purchase.People ordering £84k cars like sweets in a candy shop.......shows the huge gulf in people's earnings in the Uk

We are all enthusiasts and enjoy the cars, most will have worked very hard and saved in order to afford such a car. When I was a young lad I saw a guy interviewed on the tv who had a Ferrari who lived in a normal house. How did you afford that they asked - he said he did not drink, smoke or go on holidays for x years or spend it on a big house and other things. That stuck with me and so worked towards the same sort of thing. At uni I walked to uni each day for 4 years because I worked out that the money I save on bus fares after 4 years would be enough to buy a return flight to Hong Kong. so I walked and I flew to HK. The same with cars - you work out how to get where you want to get to and try and do that.
So hopefully nice cars should not breed resentment - its how that person looks on life determines a resentment or ambition.
Be assured spending £86k list which is £73k in reality after discount is not a light decision and im sure all on here will have built up the cars to get to that sort of level. im not putting in too much each time. If it goes wrong I can sell the car and get a fair chunk back if I have to.

I don't disagree with hard working people saving up or using PCP if they wish.
It only a small minority who can afford these objects of desire though but sometimes it does surprise me on different forums how many people have the means at their disposal.
Having owned various relatively expensive premium branded new cars or 2-3 year olld performance models most people in my street own and run mundane transport. In fact ithe price of these cars you can buy property with relative ease in poor old Somerset.
Having lived in the isle of London it is stark contrast in earnings where you tend to see such nice expensive cars. For me I'd only ever could afford a used 3-4 yr old example after the bulk of depreciation has done its work.
I've been looking at a used 3-4 yr old M5 for my next purchase now they've come down to reasonable prices. Has anyone compared these to the RS6 in performance terms?
Im towards the top/end of my working life but when younger also would only have 4-8 yr old cars. Toyota corolla 1.3 auto in gold - Hmmm lovely feel the power.... or Nissan sunnys or almeras...... etc and like you and being a pistonhead always aimed for the next car up etc and been lucky to have most of the classic top performance cars in my time. Had an M5 e39 10 yrs ago or so but it broke a lot so didn't like it. (still have a Nissan GTR itch) Its only recently that ive been able to go for new.It only a small minority who can afford these objects of desire though but sometimes it does surprise me on different forums how many people have the means at their disposal.

RS6 v M5 quite different cars in how they drive but if you have a look on youtube there are a lot of comparisons of rs6 v whatever - each car will have its + and - points. I m keen on a RS6 as never had an audi, need to tow a caravan, need to take kids to school on the way to work but want some poke and noise along the way. mid range grunt is rather good. would have preferred a new E63 AMG but it wont tow, M5 will tow but not an estate so RS6 is the best option -
As you've noticed most people out there drive mundane things - but they just use a car as a transport that costs them money not an object of affection/fun/desire. They don't get it that its fun to have a performance car that's why they have mundane things. Heck even my old 3 door Nissan sunny zx was a 1.8 twin cam and a Q car - it was a hidden hot hatch and drove well. GF/Wife hated being in the passenger seat & couldn't understand why I liked the car until she drove it herself and then enjoyed it. Beaded seat covers.....hides head......
