I can't get a straight answer out of Audi - have rung three dealers and all differ slightly

My car has done 26k miles and is two months short of being three years old

It had a long life service 15 months / 12k miles ago (befor I bought the car)

The oil change service light is showing and the inspection service and will be due in two months

One of the Audi dealers has suggested I only need an oil change and a brake fluid change at this point

Can anybody tell me if I go ahead and get the oil and brake fluid changed, what will be changed when the long life service is due in July 2016 (at which point it will have been two years / 20k miles ish since the last long life service)

That was the plan originally and i will be getting the lot done during my next service - i don't really have the time or the inclination to have it 'serviced' now and then have to take it in again in 6 months time.

My question was, that if i was to have the oil changed now, is that part of the official long life servicing at audi meaning that the oil would be changed twice in six months...???? Or not..

My second question (which i appreciate that only i can answer) is Audi are quoting around £400 for the longlife service plus the brake fluid change whereas i have been quoted half that at a local Audi indie

Is a stamp in the book really worth £200?!

I think the indie mentioned that that would be included as a matter of course. Conversely the changing of filters all seemed to be optional add ons at the dealers

I think you've helped me make up my mind - I'm pretty sure that the car will be more comprehensively serviced at the indie, the only thing in the back of my mind is the what if scenario of something breaking down out of warranty (I'm not planning on extending) and losing 'goodwill' from not having had it serviced within the dealership
