2008 Audi A6 Allroad 4.2 FSI

Audi exclusive doesn't necessarily mean it's exceptionally exclusive. Do you know what Audi exclusive features it has?
For example I recently bought a 2006 A4 3.2 S-Line Quattro Tiptronic. A realtively scarce model in itself (the 2.0 TFSI was far and away the more popular and sensible choice), it came with Audi exclusive door sills.
Intrigued, I researched a little more and it turns out it was an option available on the 2007 MY S-Line's. For £2600 (inc VAT) you got:
• Two-tone Valcona leather, black seat-side sections with coloured seat-centre section in Crimson red, silver or Cognac brown
• Black dashboard and carpets
• Black cloth headlining
• Door-trim inserts in black to match interior trim
• Audi exclusive door sill trims
• Brushed Aluminium grey inlays
• Floor mats in black with coloured piping (to match seat-centre section)
• 3-spoke leather steering wheel
• Steering wheel rim, gear knob and gear lever gaiter with coloured stitching (to match seat-centre section)
So while these options are all very nice to have, it's not as exclusive as I initially thought. It turned out the car was originally an Audi demonstrator model so has had a lot of options ticked when ordered. There's not a lot it hasn't got.
I'm sure you'll enjoy the Allroad; a friend really rates his.

I have seen a lot of A4 3.2's around here and not as many TFSI's?
I don't know yet about all the parts but I know my car has:

Most A4's I see are TDIs of some sort. We had the TFSI engine in a Jetta; neither me or MrsDrSteveBrule warmed to it much, it was either fully on or completely off. Large displacement N/A is preferable as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, I digress...
From what I can gather there are 2 types of Audi exclusive; the full-on bespoke special order sort and from the sounds of it, what we have on our cars which would be optional Audi exclusive-branded pack (seats, mirrors, interior and bits of trim etc).
I had a 4.2 lump in an old S8 I used to own. It's only since driving other cars that I realised how quick it really was.
Your Allroad sounds very nice. Trouble is, the bar has now been set quite high, what do you get next?!

Well I live in Herts, there are tonnes of 3.2's but there are lot of TDI's but not TFSI's. It's either a 3 litre petrol or a 2 litre diesel. One factor would be the Govt phasing out of diesels that will happen soon so manufacturers like Audi will resort to high capacity turbo units or hybrids or just a 5/6 cylinder petrol with emissions tuning. I would like a bespoke Allroad
The reason cars like mine are so rare are what I would factor in -
- High tax/ VED for large displacement cars built after 2006 (mine is a 2008 (57) )
- big emissions
- high price ( who honestly would pay £65,000 for an Audi A6?! I mean, it's not even an S6!
-reliability - people would opt for a 2.0 derv spec
- finance ( this car would probably be around £675 a month )
- fuel costs
- cheaper alternatives (Leg Spec B)
- DEPRECIATION

I've not seen a huge amount of the new ones in fairness, but I'd have thought as most would be private purchases rather than company purchases, then people would go for bigger, more powerful engines.
For diesels, I'd have thought, that the 3.0TDi would be the most popular.

I've not seen a huge amount of the new ones in fairness, but I'd have thought as most would be private purchases rather than company purchases, then people would go for bigger, more powerful engines.
