Can anybody give me any extra info on the turbo for this engine, specificly is it water cooled and will the water pump continue for a while after the ignition is turned off?

I've never had a turbo petrol before and whilst I try not to rag it within a few miles of shut off it would be nice to know if the car had this feature.

Some online threads seem to suggest everything from dont worry about it and turn it off red hot to you must sit at idle for 2 mins even after a gentle cruise.

I'm not worried and I don't (generally) rag it before shutting down, however at a few climbing spots and on route to work there are some really fun roads....
If its been driven hard ill make an effort to really cruise the last at least half mile and let it idle a little.
Likewise I'm gentle before its warm and always check the oil temp rather than coolant before properly giving it some.

I'm well aware its far from a performance car, I'm asking more out of curiosity than anytbing really, I'm very intrested in how everything works and theres a frustrating lack on information available for this car (2016 1.4 Leon FR)

I have got the manual.

I find it perfect pulling away either slow or fast but if you try to get off the line somewhere inbetween the two it can bog down just as you get rolling.

I had initially assumed it was just me getting used to the car but there is deffinatly a bit of an issue even if it ahounds like its effecting you much more than it is me.

I'll mention it when I take it in for a service, along with the rattling door cards, other than that I love the car, it's quick enough for B road blasting and on motorways / my commute can see 50mpg which is much more than I was expecting.

Overall average for the last 3500 miles is 44mpg(calculated) and 45/46mpg on the trip computer which is better than my diesel astra GTC and pretty amazing considering I deffinatly do not drive the car slow!
