Advice please, has anyone remapped a 2.0 Tdi 177bhp Alhambra before ? ( 2013 )
BHPuk are telling me its the ECU out and sent to them as the local dealer has tried via conventional route. Puts another £100 on the cost.....

Another dealer is saying thats not the case and they have done loads, this is a trusted dealer who I have used before but I would be interested if anyone has had a similar ussue / resolution.

Question I have is the car is subject to the emissions recall but has been dragging on for a year now and still no date for this. The car has only two months warranty left and its a keeper until its dead.

I want it remapped and am getting impatient so I am considering ignoring the recall and just getting the remap done.

Any thoughts on this ?

You're right, I'm just getting it mapped.

The advice from SEAT service dept was just say you dont want the recall work doing as the subsequent remap changes it anyway. Two months of warranty that remains parts of which would be invalidated, have fun.

I am delighted with the remap. It was done by Awesome GTi so it looks like the ECU has never been touched.
I have driven the car fully loaded (holiday) and it pulled with a great difference, I have confidence where I didn't have it before with overtaking at 30 mph as well as at 80mph.

I then spent a week driving like a Nissan Micra driver and was amazed by the economy too.

I am no longer being dusted by petrol engined Galaxies / SMax's and similar either.

Genuine results for the cost of £299.00, there are cheaper deals to be had but I went with previous experience of Awesome.

Enhanced fun with the flappy paddles too. The car is a surprise to others, especially as its debadged too,heh heh.

Hope this helps

With regards Adblue its a doddle to do myself.
