Hi guys.

I have a 2009 Audi A4 (B8) and have been offered a great deal on a set of winter wheels with tyres, which is almost too good to turn down.

The only thing is is that they are for a B8 allroad and I'm wondering if they'll fit ok without rubbing?

I know the wheels will protrude further and the rolling radius will be greater but if they don't rub I'll be happy enough.

My current setup:
225/50 R17
RIM SIZE: 7J X 17
OFFSET: ET46

The proposed winter setup:
225/55 R17
RIM SIZE: 7.5J X 17
OFFSET: ET28

Any advice will be much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply.

Going by my calculations these wheels will protrude 24mm more than my current wheels so I'll in terms of outer clearance it's the equivalent of fitting 24mm spacers.

I think it may be viable but I will have to fit lower profile tyres.

If the wheels were the same width the difference would have been 18mm.
Because the wheels are 1/2" wider the difference is closer to 24mm.

I ended up buying the wheels but the tyres are too big as suspected.

I did sell them to my mate who has an A5 however and made £100 on them smile
