Golf GTD Estate, anyone got one?

So, the day before the 'new' Golf is revealed ( https://youtu.be/XxWrSoPCKhE) VWFS finally confirm my order of a GTD Estate as my next company car. I couldn't decide between this and a Octavia vRS (in Meteor Grey) but went with the Golf as the spec was far better for the price. The only option I added was auto main beam and tornado red paint.

Does anyone have one? I appreciate it is a 3 year old model now but I still like the look of them and I'm hoping it will suit me well.

Sounds good, weirdly I had a Leon ST up until a couple of months ago but it was only the 1.6 Ecomotive but I know what to expect really. I think the Leon boot is slightly bigger but it should be fine.

I don't really have anything to ask, did you pick any options? Gearbox? Colour?

Sounds and looks good! I'd have got DSG, but the extra cost on the lease and tax was fairly large and I like the Golf ball gear knob!

I was tempted by Limestone, but went for Red in the end and one option - auto high beam.

That is one of the reasons I didn't get the Octavia. You see loads! It would have been Meteor Grey though which I like the look of.

A remap would be tempting, but as a company car on company insurance not wise really! Also, I'm going from a Leon 1.6 110 to 184 so that should be enough.

Cheers all, thinking I should have put the reversing camera on. Never needed one before, but the temporary car I've had for a few months has one and I'm a bit used to it now!

I love high beam assist on my current Civic, assumed it would be even better on a V8.

I've emailed VWFS to ask about the camera, it may be too late or increase the price too much due to having to re-quote - we will see.

Well it was too late for the camera, but it is here - just in time for the Mk7.5!

Didn't expect it to have the 'soundaktor' in Sport mode, bit weird! Otherwise seems great.

My MFD and nav screen seem to have blue highlights, is this correct or is my car set up as an 'R'?

That is odd, mine has a blue line where yours has grey. When changing settings etc on the main screen everything has a blue box round when you move the wheel.

Mine is '66 too, had it a couple of weeks now. My 'line' is blue on all screens (my Leon changed colour depending on data, audio, nav etc)

Not sure what is going on but being picky I don't like the blue and would prefer red/grey!

My 66 plate is exactly the same as this, and the nav screen etc comes up with the blue lines.

So yours is all blue or blue on the nav and red on the dash like above?
