Coming to the end of a 12 month lease on a Golf R, ordered through Affinity Leasing. Finance is through Moto Novo Finance. I'm handing the vehicle back (most impressed with Golf R though!) and Moto Novo are asking for £180 inspection fee and £449 admin fee!!!!!
None of these back end costs were mentioned by Affinity at the time of taking the lease, not surprisingly!!! When I've looked in the small print, the £449 charge is mentioned, so a painful lesson learnt, but in relation to the Inspection Fee, the small print says there may be a charge for an inspection of the vehicle. Nowhere does it mention £180!
Anyone had anything similar?? Feel like I'm being right royally shafted, although partly my fault. Affinity are no longer using Moto Novo for this reason. The new finance company guarantee no admin or inspection back end charges.
Be warned if using Moto Novo, or anyone else - boring as it is, read the contract, fees and small print!!
