S5 V8 or 3.0V6, plus other 'which one ' type of questions...

So after much contemplation I have decided the Audi S5 is to be my next car.
So the question is which version.
I love the sound of the v8 in the pre2012 coupe, so was initially considering that, then I noticed the convertibles are cheaper but came with the v6 only.
So firstly, v8 or v6? Anyone bought the v6 and wished they got the v8?
Is the v6 tuneful at all at revs?
Then the next question, did the facelift give much more to the S5 and worth the extra cash?
On the surface it looks a little sharper, but was there much under the skin improvements?
So basically I'm thinking a 2010-2012 v8 coupe , a 2010-2012 v6 convertible, or a 2013ish convertible .
I'm based in the US where petrol, or gas, is usd2.5 a gallon, so fuel economy is not my concern:-)

Thanks for the replies , I was looking at either car to be a '10 model as I like the led rear lights.
I just wish they had made the convertible with a V8!
I think at the end of the day I will go with the Best Buy , convertible , v8 coupe or facelift model, with a slight lean into the the convertible as I'm also considering buying a California car and doing an epic road trip back to NYC:-)
