I have 55 plate Skoda Fabia VRS which has rear washer not working. On testing it the washer fluid is pumping out from bottom of washer tank. Tank is not leaking as it only pours out when trying rear washer. Front washers OK and no water leak from tank.
The problem is getting at the pump/tank as it is below the battery and really tight fit.
Can anyone advise on accessing the washer tank/pump? I guess it meas removing battery. Does this harm the ECUs etc?
Many thanks for any advice.

That would be really helpful. It sounds to me like same problem as it works periodically then next time it pours water out of the passenger side at front of engine bay. If you could let me know how you did it I can tackle it tomorrow. Many thanks for your help.

I think either the Skoda has different routing or my problem is closer to the washer tank/pump as it is pouring out from very close to the front. It is front n/s corner close to radiator. I can see where the water is pumping out from but battery is so tight and immediately above that I think I will need to remove. Still your explanation fits the problem as the pump is working fine, the washer works periodically so points to loose pipe, dodgy connector. I just think it is a different place than yours. So tomorrow looks like a strip it down and detective job!! Thanks for the photos they may still be invaluable.

Problem solved!!! thanks to Briskoda someone had posted that you can access the pump via undoing 3 screws on n/s wheelarch cover. Undid cover and found pipe had popped off the pump. I guess pipe got frozen in recent cold weather and it forced it off. Anyway popped pipe back on and checked and now fine. Saved a trip to the dealers. Thanks or all advice received.
