cambelt change on mkv5 golf gti

have just been quoted best part of £600 for a cmablet change on my mk5 golf gti - it's done 60k miles and is hence due for a change.

has anyone had a belt changed yet and if so what were they quoted?

this quote was from windrush in maidenhead - they're also doing a service for which they quoted £200.. i'm ok with that quote!

they say the belt change is a 4 hour engine out job and most of the cost is labour. i assume a local indy with lower hourly rates will do it for less; anyone know a reputable one who has carried out this work?
