Audi R8 True Running costs

Im considering either the R8 or the baby Aston as my next car but i know theres a difference in buying a car and 'owning' the car, i.e. running costs.

Ive tried searching but too no avail - unless im using the search system wrong i dont know...

Anyway, just wondering if any owners on here could give me a break down on associated true running costs.

Also, does anyone know if theres an R8 owners club website/forum as i cant seem to find one on google.

Thanks for all the comments back, been much helpful to me and others obviously

Wont be looking to buy until March time unfortunately, though ill still be asking questions and possibly pm'ing a few on here.

One more question is that are there many known common faults? Ive been tempted by the 996/997 Turbo but keep hearing/reading about them having engine issues.

Thanks again for the information, just one more question (for the time being), i dont suppose theres any specialist insurance brokers for the R8 is there or are the insurance comparison websites the best bet?
