can someone please help me with the blb engine

Hi all i have been searching around now for a couple of week and can’t find a definite answer to to question so here goes
I have a 05 2.0tdi auto with the blb engine the problem is the engine has blown and in need of replacement as we all know these engines are very problematic with the oil pump and other issues. What i want to know is will the bkd or bre go in my car some people say no and i have spoke to a couple of people that say they will, my problem is i don’t know what to do i don’t want to spend the money on an engine that won’t run when fitted. Im thinking along the lines of the bkd if i was to buy one of these what work or changes would i have to do to make the engine run

hi thanks for the reply my engine would still run if i put new turbo on it the shaft on the intake side of the turbo wiggles about so bearing is fubard, i was driving the car when this happened i got a very large cloud of smoke and turned the engine of right away. the problem is that the engine was very noisey before the turbo went its been like thats for some months (sounds like tractor) now and im thinking is the oil pump that could be ready to fail on top of that the head is porus that in its self ain't to bad but when ya think a turbo is £££ and then the oil pump could go and take the turbo im thinking replace the engine
