Audi S3 mk1 engine spec

Hi all.

I was just curious if anyone could tell me what the difference is between the original Audi S3 with 210ps and the later facelift model which had 225? do they use the same turbo?

Hmm, if thats true then there must be a lot of people with optimistic claims over on the classifieds. Seen many of the 210 bhp models where people have claimed it has been remapped to 240-260 bhp - either they are wrong or the car does have a K04 turbo as the K03S wouldn't be able to go above 215-220. I've also read that the earlier 210 PS model was a 'detuned TT' to help stop competition within the Audi fleet, which would imply it has the K04 like the 225PS TT does.

Very confusing either way as I can't seem to find any more info about the different engine specs anywhere on the internet, but thanks for the reply Furby
