I know many of you do not like the idea of swapping a new LS3 Chevy engine (plus driveline and ancillaries) into a Griffith chassis (and I admit neither me...) but I want to try how a meaty 480hp powerplant feels on the 970kgs body of my baby which by the way is also fixed with a 3.7 rebuilt gears...

After all, the original 500 engine is getting old and lazy (and its electronis are frankly driving me crazy since months...) and to get real power from it would cost me a small fortune anyway.

The con is that I'll have to ship the car to UK but the most difficult choice seems to be:

To what address??

Topcats racing

OR

Sportmotive?

scratchchin

Apart from the LS3 conversion I'd be tempted to go with an old gen carbed small blk chevy (I have a carbed 575hp SB in a Vette C3 which is a favolous and super reliable engine), would it be the same proceedings with this type of engines then with a modern LS series powerplant? Would those who're converting Tvr's to Chevy V8 do the job?

....a 575 hp 350 SBC would be a really highly tuned engine, with a pretty radical cam.
Well, it's a 406ci, all a different league...and yes, it's pretty radical but smooth enough to be able to drive in town without getting a complete mess, the builders are ''American speed'' of ILL/USA, the same guys who build the Ultima engines, great and brilliant professionals with a pretty good after sale follow up.

I couldn't recommend them enough.
