Rear caliper handbrake mechanism
Discussion
I have decided that since I'll fail an MOT with a 13% handbrake efficiency, it's time to replace the rear calipers. I've replaced the cable and the (broken) handbrake lever already so the calipers are the only thing left.
The hydraulic side of them works fine, so I was hoping there were service parts available, however this appears to not be the case apart from the odd seal set and slider pins. The vented disc Granada calipers seem extremely expensive, so I wondered if I could buy a pair of the unvented Sierra calipers and rebuild mine with the parts. The cylinders look to be the same, so the handbrake mechanism surely must be the same too - does anyone know? Or is there a source for the handbrake mechanism parts I haven't yet found? (The Sierra ones are much cheaper than the Granada ones - so much so that the loss of deposit doesn't matter.)
Thanks
