After being caught in a monsoon I've noticed rainwater under the drivers feet carpet. On further investigation I can see it’s coming in from the bottom of the steering column or above.

Firstly, is the bottom of the column a common place for a water leak or is it more likely to be coming in from above?
Secondly, is silicone sealant around the bottom of the column in true TVR style the only option or should there be a water seal?
Thirdly, do I apply sealant inside the foot well or in the wheel arch?
Cheers, Steve.
P.S. I’ve checked all the obvious grommets in the front wing including the brake reservoir and clutch cover.

Paul, Thanks.

If it is coming in via the wiper spindle how do I seal it. Also can the windscreen be sealed without removing it?

Cheers
Steve
