Hi guys!

Been a while since I was on the forums but have just bought a pink Griff as a delivery car for our drinks business, so thought is share it. Utterly amazing car, is a little scary.

Key takeaways after 48 hours of ownership
1. It wheel spins in 4th in the wet on a motorway
2. It takes an hour to figure out how to put the roof in the boot. Incorrectly. Where it is stick for another hour. Should have googled it.
3. It is rather loud and sets the alarm off on my Integra type-R wherever I start it

It is an pretty much immaculate 500, only two TVRisms so far
1. The heater is always on. It was 30 degrees today. Except in the Griff where it was 30 billion degrees.
2. The 'thanks for letting me in' hazard lights get stuck on. Not a bad thing given I am technically in danger at all times while driving.

Yes! Technically "amethyst purple" but I'm pretty sure that is a manly way of saying "very pink-like". A bit like when guys wear pink shirts and insist they are "wild salmon".

Wow! That is very pink. When does purple become pink on the spectrum?

We have a history of buying pinkish-not-pink cars blind off the internet, so can probably build up the spectrum. Here's our old 348.... and yes that is an AA van in the background.

Awesome! I'm going to look up the HCV issue and see if I can fix it (or maybe leave it to the professionals given it is due a service anyway).

Delivery is of our soft drinks business. We trialled it as a delivery vehicle around Notting Hill on Saturday. Not wholly convinced it is the most practical choice but sure beats sitting in traffic in a transit!

Are you saying I could have bought an MGF and saved a few quid?

I spotted one end of the spectrum! Here's Katie Price's Range Rover in Mayfair...

That Renault 5 Turbo is awesome! I used to idolise them growing up.

Don't joke re Brighton! The pink pound is super important for us as we own a beauty drink company!

It is the one from car and classic. My wife left me in charge of getting a delivery vehicle and didn't specify and criteria. The seller and his wife were so lovely when I spoke to him I bought it blind over the phone, luckily it turns out to be fab.

We used to use this old Paul Smith Mini, so actually a step up in practicality...

Sad news guys, the pink Griff is currently being serviced and is going up for sale after that. My wife's drinks business is going insanely well, so we need to money to pump into that.

It has been short but amazing fun, and hopefully will get back to a Griff the second we can take money out of the business, but it is invest invest invest at the moment.

Feel free to get in touch if you're interested - I will likely use a dealer otherwise as selling a car privately is PAINful.

Especially in the rain (a rare sight)!

Does anyone want to buy my wife instead?

I think my wife might frown upon me sharing photos of her on pistonheads sadly.

Service just done by a fab TVR garage - I'd rather the new owner had nothing to worry about as Spring kicks off.

I have a bit of a two week window to see if it sells, after which I need to renew the garage it is in and travel to Japan. I give it 50/50 at this stage. 9 emails so far including the usual "what would you take for a cash sale?". What other method are the other buyers proposing? Cotton Futures? Bitcoin? A LOT of dish washing?

Did you know that positive glass-half-full people are empirically proven to be more successful and live longer than cynics? :-)

I did do a fuller reply when someone else raised a point to my post after that one.

However a retort in the spirit of providing entertainment for the greater PH readership.....

You are obviously immensely successful and only have to sell your Griff so that your wife's drinks business can continue to grow. I, in the meantime, will die young, bitter and penniless. Enjoy the rest of your long life in the delivery van of your choice, successful friends tell me Transits are good. Perhaps one day you'll get a sports car for the high days and holidays to accompany it.

hehe
To be fair, I think selling the TVR will contribute more to my life expectancy that any positivity
