This may seem like an odd question but as I am currently in the US I can't check this myself...

Can anyone confirm the dimensions of the boot space and the shelf behind the seats on a pre-cat Griff?
I am trying to work out which of the suitcases/bags will fit as I am coming back soon and picking it up for a nice little drive and vacation down to Bath and South Wales.

I would bring a small soft bag myself, and I am trying to control what my better half brings but you know how it is!! ...guess I will be driving with the top on frown

If a 99 500 will do, will happily measure in the morning.
@5.0ltr that would be great if you could. I know that every one of our Griffs is probably a little bit different but I can't imagine the size of the boot can change dramatically.
Thanks much!

Bob, that is great! I would have done the same thing if I was there smile

I may not be reading this correctly but which of the numbers is the depth from the lid to the bottom?
Thanks again,
Paul

Apart from the rear (fuel tank) everything is curved, so squashy bags will definitely be better than hard square suitcases. Don't forget the sides too, they're like hamster cheeks!
yep, soft bags are the order of the day.

@Hoover ... the missus won't fit in the boot. She is quite hard and edgy and would beat me up for sure if I even suggested it. punch

Just wanted to say thanks for the boot info and some pics....
here is a before

...and after packing the bags in the boot.

The sides of the boot are great for backpacks and then the soft'ish wheelie holdalls fit in the middle...
