Anyone know what spray oil is best to use while components are open to the air for periods of time?

I want to avoid any possibility of surface rust and don’t want to use an oil spray that may damage rubbers, valve seals, etc…

Also, I hear some spray oils can cause flow problems when mixed with engine oil and running at operating temperature. Not mixing and causing blockages!!!

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tips Guys :-)

As my engine parts will be open to the Winter moisture it makes sense to cover them with something, I just don't want to make the mistake of using something like WD40 that may or may not damage rubber washers etc...

Just looking for advice :-)

Cheers
