Wiring diagram for cooling fans needed!

Hi, it's been a while since I posted. My Griff rebuild is moving forwards, just a little bit slowly the last few months. After my plan to get the car on the road last summer was sinked by numerous engine rebuild hassles, the pace has become a bit lame in the garage. But I'm getting there. Hope you can see the picture below.



Now I'm facing some trouble with connecting the cooling fans and hope that someone could tell me if there is a complete wiring diagram of this circuit somewhere. Unfortunately some previous owner has made quite a mess of certain parts of the standard wiring of the car.

Yes, I have "The Bible" by Steve Heath, but to be honest the "complete" diagram published there is not very useful. Incomplete and very hard to interpret. I don't even know exactly what to make of all the "connection blocks" visible in the diagram, where are the corresponding wires?

I've tried to search similar threads here. I imagine a nice view of just the cooling fan circuit including relay, otter switch etc, without blind connection blocks here and there ... But nope ...

If a diagram is not available anywhere, perhaps someone can confirm if the circuit is as simple as I hope; the otter switch connecting the relay to earth when coolant is hot, relay clicks and delivers current to the fans via a fuse ...? What I mainly miss is where to connect the cable from the otter switch. My fuse/relay central is quite intact, so assuming that the circuit is of this basic kind I guess I just have to locate the right pin on the right relay. Opinions please!

Yes, mine is a 500 pre 96. According to owner's handbook there should be only one fuse for this circuit (40 amps far left in the central). Will remove the central (again) today and check the cables behind. Still, it would help enormously to have a proper wiring diagram at hand!

Thanks Loubaruch, very useful! Problem is now solved, although the standard wiring of my car didn't exactly match your picture and not the diagram in The Bible either. Pin 71 in the red block is used for something else on mine. But thanks to your help I knew where to start looking, worth a lot.
