...I worked it out the other day, and when commuting to work (2 miles town stop start stuff, then about a mile and a half of dual carriageway taken gently as still cool fluids) I'm getting 8 miles to the gallon.

Yep, EIGHT.

I don't really care about mpg, and if anything, it kinda makes me love the noisy brute even more, but is that normal thirst for a 99 5.0?

Yeah, I don't want it to be my sole commute vehicle, so looking for something sensible to trundle to work in. V12 Jag XJS should do it biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
