Just curious as to how many early Griff's remain. According to howrareismycar.co.uk there are only 5 1992 (K) Reg Griff's on the road and 4 SORN. Now that is pretty damn rare. Only a total of 647 Griff's remain on the UK roads and 442 currently SORN. Discounting the Griff's abroad the model is quite rare now. Think I will hang on to my pre-cat for a few more years if I can.

Ps that sounds like an awful lot of SORN Griff's especially for the summer

That number seems very low. I looked into this too a while back. If I recall there were about 600 or so cars made in 1992. I have heard production was slow to take off and there are more latter 1992 (K plate) cars than early (J plate). Recently there was a Feb 1992 car for sale and this may have been an early demonstration delivered car. In the last month there have been about 3 or 4 1992 cars come up for sale on Pistonheads classifieds.

I just purchased a November '92 Griffith to import into the USA next year. Its going on a SORN and storage until then due to the 25 year import rule in the US. :-(
So you will have your Griff in the States just in time for Christmas 2017. That will be a pretty cool and the envy of your neighbours (until you start it up) laugh

The reason they look so rare is just that TVR were crap at paperwork. My 92 K-reg Griff is registered just as a TVR with no model entered so it doesn't count in the Griff figures. I hear many others are the same.

That's interesting to note. In that case there is never going to be a definitive figure of remaining Griff's if the V5's just show TVR and no model frown
