I was dumb I forget to push the drivers side strut back fully to lock it

I made the split roof. I just sawed it in half, filled between the skins with isopon and then used self adhesive foam strips to create the water seal in the middle. best mod I ever did. the roof sections fit easily in the boot on top of tools luggage etc.

The panel was fine, slight scuff on one corner. The marshals brought it back at lunchtime.

just a little experience (-;. won the national classic marques sprint championship last weekend at goodwood and also went into the lead on the TVRCC Speed Championship so a good day out. not bad for an old griff. the guys and girls are great and it's really friendly with lots of good banter as well.

hi matthew. it was 137MPH on the straight with a big jump on the brakes just after the 150m board. the rear goes very light and needs tiny corrections to avoid a spin. see video at 1 min 14 ish. doesn't look much on the video but in the car it feels properly wayward and if you lose it there you will probably hit a barrier hard. https://youtu.be/ayRfQxTqGQc

Mmmmm.. 120mph is about it for a road car there so that's pushing quite hard. Road tyres are pretty much at their limit at 1G so not too smart by the instructor for a track day. Back in 2004 I tried it at over 130mph in my cerbera with road tyres lost it and hit the wall really hard taking the whole rear end off the car!
