Rear suspension sitting high

If you jack up the rear of a Griff leave it in the air for a few Mins and drop it back down again does the suspension sit high until it is driven about or does it settle fairly quickly ?

Mine sits quite high on both sides until it is driven about a fair bit and I don't know if it has always done it or not. To be fair it is not entirely standard. All the bushes including the ARB ones are Poly rather than rubber and the dampers are Nitron single adjusters, but that is how it has been for the last 10 years or so. This season (not on the road) I have spun several times which is unusual and have had problems finding grip when launching off the start line so begin to think something is not as it should be.

Before ripping it all apart thought I would ask.

Was looking at my times for this year and wondering why they were mostly slower, also I seem to have spun rather more times than normal and can't get off the line. Things that are different are the ARB bush clamps so they may be gripping too tightly and, perhaps more importantly I have been cleaning the rear tyres between runs. That involves jacking the car up so I suspect it is still sitting high on the start line and possibly the first corner.

You are right about the dampers, I normally have the fronts are rears serviced alternate years but to be fair I think I missed doing that last winter so it could be three years. Nitron say there could be a bit of stiction at full droop if they are worn so perhaps that is the starting point.

Just wondered if it was normal, interesting to hear yours does it but I can't recall you cleaning the stones off between runs.
