On the pre-cat Griffith the ones that have the black plastic panel, where the blower switch fits is the whole very large i.e to fit over the blower switch Knob.I know that the Knob is removable but does the blower switch stay in situ and the panel fits over it. Just trying to get some info on this panel with a view to make a new one.

Any help appreciated Barreti are you there.

Now Now Boys can we come to some aggreement ( HA HA HA!)I believe that the Heater switches are mounted horizontally and the window switches are mounted vertically are you thinking of changing this arrangement? We really need to standardise these or everyone will be bespoke which will be MORE COSTLY and a Headache for yours truly.ARE you better sticking to the old TVR Layout?

Hi Barreti,

When I receive the drawing off Antony J I will make a start on a panel with the original layout, does the temp control switch have coloured LEDS(red and blue?) OR LETTERS H and C? and I presumme the screen /Feet switch just has UP and Down arrows. Also is there an illuminated symbol under the window switches? Need as much info as I can get please.

Right Guys I now have a sample of the original panel,(thanks Antony J)the symbols for HOT and COLD seem to be just two small round clear dots of about 2mm in diameter do the fibre optics shine through this and are WHITE?

The up and down are just arrows do these shine through WHITE as WELL, there is around dot in the middle of the Arrows of about 5mm is this illuminated as well?

The window symbol is clear as well is this correct

Are there no colours at all on this panel?

Please help so as I can get this underway

Thanks

G.M

Sorry Antony

No pictures of it even if I had I could not put them on here ( I do not know how Duh!),not very good with that sort of thing.Anyway looking at the middle dot between the up and down arrows it seems like it may have been partically blacked out?

Anybody any IDEAS?

Does anyone know anything about the mysterious round dot between the up and down arrows is it and illuminated position?

I am going down the road of producing a better standard one as per the warning panel.

What do we all think?

Thanks Griffer

Very informative I have no fibre optics left in my Griffith Heater panel as it was all removed by the previous owner.

Hi
The panel is still on going,I have a problem with the material thickness maybe could bond the black engraved panel onto a clear backing piece. I think I will make the engraved panel in the thinner material first.

Dots for HOT and COLD or the letters H and C WHATS THE COLLECTIVE OPINION?

WILL THE KEEP ARROWS FOR UP AND DOWN

LET ME KNOW YOUR VIEWS PEOPLE BEFORE I MAKE THE PANEL

SORRY its taking so long but the brown stuff has hit the fan where I work, but please let me know you views on the above.

Thanks
