OK just a bit of a weak rant really but, I've had my old Clubman up for sale on various web sites with little success, the best offers only in the £2ks, yet watching programmes like "For the love of cars" an old, battered, non running Cooper (not an S) is sold for £7k.
I accept the Clubman isn't perfect, it's been patched, but it has a full MoT. I've spent around £5k on it with uprates suspension, brakes, engine, gearbox etc but I guess it's a Clubman which isn't everyones cup of tea.
Rant over.
I'm hardly using it, hence the decision to sell but not at £2400. I think I'll just find somewhere to park it up, maybe it'll eventually be worth what I think it's worth now or maybe it won't.

I wonder what my 1964 Mk.1 Cooper 'S' 1310 cc Historic Rally Car with a history of 32 historic rallies and 5 outright wins is worth these days. Maybe it is under-insured at £25k.
What do others think?

Cannot be worth more than £2450 as it's older than my clubby, smaller engine, done more car damaging events and its not orange.
And on that subject, cannot decide whether to just talk the in laws into letting me put it back where I found it in their garage, or wasting more money on it.

There's a big difference in "asking price" and "selling price" Peter, as my advert will confirm...
Or in the case of that particular car (and the Mk 2 Escort in another PH forum), could it be a fool and his money...
