Mk1 Rear Light Conversion

Hi, I'm considering fitting the conversion plates that are available....obviously they will require welding in, just wondered if anyone on here has fitted these and what's involved, are they are good fit or will I need tons of filler? Advice appreciated.

I may go for Mk2 lights, less hassle just need to save lots of pennies for a hinged number plate boot lid ..why are they so expensive! Funny you should bring up the trends through the years, as an owner of a 1st generation Bini i was thinking how much bigger everything is on the current model, I can see people in years to come hankering after that Mk1 Bini look just as we do with the classics!
