Hi all, new on here and joined to ask a question of a wider audience,
I am almost at the end of a complete nut and bolt rebuild of an 83 Mayfair, and when bleeding the brakes the brake pedal travels its full distance to the floor but when some pressure is built up in the system the pedal travels less than half way and comes to a solid stop, not a spongy soft pedal but almost like a metal on metal feel, the complete system has been renewed including master cylinder, pressure regulator valve, brake pipes copper and flexi and all new slave cylinders, and I have changed the master cylinder and the result is the same, I have also bypassed the pressure regulator valve in order to check it and had the same result.
Has anyone on here had a similar problem or can anyone shed some light on the issue,
any genuine help would be greatly appreciated
