Freelander overheating

I'm not a mechanic but have found the cause of the overheating issue I had with my 02 1.8 Freelander, this might be of use to someone else with the same issues.
Around 02 the Freelander had a thermostat in the back of the block and switched to an in-line thermostat, situated at the front N/S. My car had both! I changed the in-line one with no effect. Then checked the back of the block and found one in there too, took that out and it was fine.
Hope this helps others, I ended up having to get the head skimmed.
