Couple of weeks ago on a relatively short journey I had the Fuel Low message come up in the binnacle and on the touch screen, with fuel level indicator showing zero. I kept going because before it happened it was showing just under half full. Reset the message with the OK button and that just left the Amber petrol pump indicator showing. A few miles further on it decided to feel better and reset itself back to normal.
Early this week it went through the same cycle but yesterday it decided to not feel better and leave me with the fuel pump and no level showing. Any number of stop/starts through the day failed to resolve it.

I did some quick research and came up with this but difficult to see if this official from LR.

It infers this is a known problem and unless I am mistaken LR's responsibility to fix? It's a 2011 RRS HSE, the VIN does fall within the range quoted and I am out of warranty.

Before I go to the dealer service can I ask if this looks familiar to anyone on the forum and are my assumptions on getting it fixed correct?

Thanks for the responses, it's now on a flatbed to the main dealer.

It's always good to come back and post a happy ending.

I must extend a huge vote of thanks to LR Reading for pursuing coverage of the problem with LR GB who paid for everything. My only cost was the flatbed transport and that's purely my own fault for not reinstating the breakdown insurance when my warranty ran out.

I am not the first owner but I did buy it from LR Reading and I do take it there for service. These factors seemed to weigh in my favour even though the vehicle is 8 months out of warranty. Good result.

Also had a chance to take a good look round the new Disco Sport they have in the showroom. I have to say I was very impressed with both exterior and exterior. I can them selling in vast quantities, despite the price tag wink
