We took delivery yesterday of our new RRS Dynamic with a few options. Overall a great experience and a 220 mile drive home.
The only critical comment would be the stupid Eco mode. Aware it can be disabled (temporarily) each time the engine is started by pushing the console button.
I read via the Google machine the 'feature' can be permanently disabled by disconnecting a secondary battery lead in the boot area. As yet I haven't had time to look and try this. The article was from an American forum, has anyone tried this, does it work without any issues?

Huge thanks in advance.

How long does it take to press a button when you get in to the car? You press the starter button don't you wink

Why fk around with a brand new car warranty? IF something goes amiss Land Rover will wriggle out of a warranty claim...I wouldn't bother.
Fair comment yet I like to have choice in my life and stop/start sucks. It sucks even more that JLR gives many 'soft' config options but not one to turn this one off for good.

What's the problem with it? Surely in an rr you're barely aware of the engine at traffic speeds anyway. So long as it goes when you want it to...
It's unnecessary for starters (no pun!). I don't choose to drive a RRS for economy. I'd also comment possibly dangerous when pulling out across junctions.
Just spoke to LR, it can be disabled without any warranty issue or coding.

Good result for you - how is it disabled?
Disconnection of a secondary battery unit in the boot area.
