RRC 137k tappets ticking ? No. 7 .. advice

HI all, we have an old rrc 1991 in the family that been pretty good to date but the tappets have started ticking !!!

Is there anything to check before putting it into the garage, its number 7 thats ticking and its done 137,000 miles

Interesting thanks, I believe it may have a blow on the manifold but it also may have a rattly tappet.

I suspect it may need a new camshaft and tappets and whilst your doing that you might as well do the rest, I guess !!

Thanks, having looked at now it seems ironically it has a blow from the manifold gasket and a wobbly no.7 tappet.

Manifold easy ish but tappet less so !!

Need some one that actually knows what they are doing to look at it !!
