Hello,

I've been looking for months now for a nice Range Rover Classic manual. Just want a clean unmolested one. My max budget is £5k but can't find anything. Its either a rough one for 3k or a restored one for 10k.

Am I unrealistic?

I saw that at Walton motors, and still debating whether I go and have a look but if you punch in Walton Motors in google, all you see if bad review after bad review regards to them putting dodgy MOT's on car etc.

Found a 1991 man Vogue with 111000 on the clock I'm going to have a look at on Sunday, its up for 4500 so will see whats all about.

Thanks for the offer on the LSE, but really want a manual. LSE's are going for good money.

Reason for a manual, I've driven both and prefer a manual and cheaper on fuel.

Just seen that tonight, does look nice. I really want a manual but this could sway my decision. Only problem is I'm in Devon and the Rangy is in Glasgow.

Going to look at that one at Walton motors you said about on Friday if they still have it, also found this one at an auction that's on next Sunday that looks nice

Correct me if I'm wrong but thought the 3.9's had colour coded arches.

Went and had a look at the red one at Walton motors, been poorly resprayed with paint runs and overspray on screen rubber. Also the rear inner arches been hand painted with a brush, nice! Went and had a look at a green one at auction today, after having a discussion that I didn't want to pay £10 for a catalogue and to enter the auction, they finally agreed to let me look at the rangy to find both sills and rear inner arches need replacing. Funny how it got no advisories on the mot. Some of these auctioneers are thieving monkies. I'm losing the will to live. Might have to open my options up to an auto.
