Mrs SB has her heart set on one of these, so I've been doing the usual 'due diligence' on autotrader, etc.

But the current state of the market is confusing the heck out of me - we've been offered a new build to our spec in under two months - with the ingenium engine - yet the tranche of 6/9-month old cars coming on the market now seem to be priced only marginally below - or in some cases, above - list price.

What's going on? Are there big discounts to be negotiated on used ones from main dealers?

Similarly, anyone have any experience of broker deals on these? I've seen a 'UK car broker' quoting about 2K off list, but I've no idea if they're kosher.

Lots of pre-orders to fulfil and sheer weight of worldwide orders mean a long lead time for delivery.
That's what surprised me: The 8 weeks we've been quoted seems really short. Possibly it's a dealer's demo slot that they're adjusting to our build.

It's a cracking car and I do like the new AJ20 engine. More power though, it'd be nice. I'd settle for 260 BHP. Such a shame they wouldn't let me buy the petrol model here in the UK
The engine's good, but the adblue tank (and thuis smaller diesel tank) buggers up the range dramatically. Fuel consumption is OK, but usable range is only about 300 miles/tank.

Saw a petrol one in the US recently. frown
