Starting to look at these as the family car.

In looking I'm finding 3 price points and am after some pros and cons for each.

~£30k - 2012 HSE 47k miles
~£36k - 2013 HSE Luxury 40k miles
~£43k - 2015 HSE Luxury 8k miles

All have Park heating, but not being clued up on the options, I'm not sure about the rest. They are all from a main dealer, I prefer to buy this way for warranty and peace of mind. All come with 2 years warranty and this is something I would extend once it expired.

Any thoughts?

I'm also leaning towards the light interior, I'd like to know how they fair against the day to day of wife/kids/paraphernalia.

I'll be financing so private sale isn't an option for me. Less warranty on that too.

I said.......

Look at maybe using Hitachi Capital or similar.

I got a quote on a Disco from them, it was £35000, with £5k down and it was coming in at £626 a month over 48 months with £10k at the end.
I got a quote from Hitachi Capital and it was £660 a month over 48 months and it was paid in full.

The rate was 11.9% from LR and 3.1% from Hitachi Capital.

You have to be really careful with used car finance, they hide the rate with GFVs, in reality, you often don't need a GFV because if you go with a straight loan the interest saved over 3-4 years covers the balloon.

Even the guy at Land Rover couldn't get his head round what I was saying to him.
He kept saying "But we guarantee it will be worth £10,000 in 4 years time"
I kept saying "No you're not, you are guaranteeing I will have to pay you another £10,000 in 4 years time if I want to keep my car."
It was like his mind was blown!! biggrin
That's a good rate from Hitachi! I've been speaking with Oracle at the moment and we're around 7.5 without trying too hard. Balloons from them were pretty strong too.
I'll definitely look into hitachi though. Thanks.

I just got my HSE 15 Plate I looked for a long time to find the Loire Blue with Ivory leather which in the HSE is the Premium leather and very nice it is. The int trim looks and is quite robust. I purchased from a main dealer its got 10.5k 2 years warranty and as you say its a must. Brilliant car does all things bloody well.

That's pretty much my ideal! I like the light seats but dark lower trim.

I need to look into what extra the lux offers.
