My fiancée has only been driving for a year and a half as lived in London for past decade, she's been driving an evoque for most of that time. She just drives around the suburbs with our baby and 9 year old.

I have fallen in love with an s class cabriolet but to get that id need to give my fiancée the L405 to drive as we need it for family trips.

I have to pay for repairs, so if she dings it it's my problem! She is a clam and a cautious driver which is to say she double checks and doesn't get panicked or rushed. So in most things I think she'd be ok, but let's face it an L405 is pretty damn big in the UK. Any thoughts or similar experience?

Thanks for the comments, I think it's just that the car has been my 'baby' that I'm so nervous about it, but I think it's going to be OK.

Thanks for the advice. Was close to letting her have my L405 and then realised I love the car too much to let anyone else have it! It would be too upsetting if anyone were to curb those shiny 22" turbines whistle

Going to order her an L494 Sport instead as no need to have 2 x L405s. So hopefully she will get on well with that.

We're not in London, in suburbs by the coast.

In any case I got her a Sport instead which is great.

I have already bought her a L494! She loves it and no problems driving it.

So I think you were all right, the L405 would be fine too.
