hi intellignet people,

i've changed the Becm module ( 650£ ) changed the receiver module 430 mhz and finally the thing is no loger drawing current and flatting my battery smile whoopyy - but alas suddenly my mirrors and my sunroof plus windows are no longer working. I've borrowed the centerswitch console from another car to eliminate it beeing the problem - still no change. On the test book no error codes, it registers that all the moving parts ( like sunroof , windows etc ) are not yet ajusted ( right ! i havn't been able to move them since installing the Becm )
BUT no matter what i do to the switches and center console nothing moves or gets exited in any way .
ON top of that some idiot has nicked my Naerside mirror while it beeing parked - since that is seemingly BUS wired could that have an effect on the windows etc not working ? it coincides with the Becm unit beeing fitted

any help would be greatly apreaciated.......................

cheers guys

well roy, thanks for telling me , i must admit i kind had this sneaky feeling . Obviously the car is back with *** who is the only one with the T4 testbook around here, who are also the company which set it up for us in the first place.
If it is looked is there any way which i can sneak in on another testbook and printout the " wrongdoings " if ever he refuses to refund me the £650 ?

Its allways funny how you give certain tasks to specialists expecting them to do better than yourself .....

cheers for your help mate smile

hi Roy
well still havn't heard back from *** ,the people who encoded the new Becm unit for us - guess they are slowly realising their wrongdoings , but i've had some good talk with the belgian representative of autologic. The system is expensive (£7000 + vat), but seem to be the best on the market. Funnily he prposed to see the equipment at a place where he had just installed this piece of kit *** .... told me in the same phrase that they had managed to burn the equipment by charging current though a booster on battery twice over. Boosting he had replaced free of charge under warrenty both times ... these guys are not really going gently about their tools i guess smile
also been on another forum, MP3 car , and seen a thread about UKOBD and their faultmate MSV , something which replaces ROVACOM ? do you know anything about them ? their equipmant seems much cheeper and more really suited for our pockets as a small workshop. We do maybe 10 testbook sessions a year since we are more into rotten old english metal.
What's your background - seemingly the only one here which knows about these Systems? I'm an automotive engineer from coventry uni, having spent most my time there sadly drinking and racing old cars...

Mod edit to remove company name AGAIN to avoid falling foul of naming and shaming rules.
